Our Services

Wellbeing audits

Conducting a wellbeing audit will help you get to know the current landscape of employee wellbeing at your organisation. Reviewing existing data and running a staff survey, we will identify what risk and protective factors influence wellbeing at work and identify key areas in need of improvement, developing a mental health strategy for your organisation with minimum disruption and maximum impact.

We offer the globally recognised Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training courses, as well as our own robust mental health awareness training packages. All our training can be tailored to suit your needs if you want bespoke support that will work best for you.

Our workshops are an ideal way to engage, educate and empower your staffor students to improve their mental health and wellbeing. We’ll work with you to ensure we deliver a workshop that works best for you, or you can choose one of our popular programs.

Running a wellbeing event or supporting a campaign such as World Mental HealthDay? We have experienced conference speakers who are engaging, passionate and connect with the audience; inspiring and empowering them to make a difference in their lives.

Policy development

Not all workplaces are the same, but mental ill-health does not discriminate. We can check that mental health is at the heart of your policies, ensuring legal compliance and establishing fair and supportive strategies to protect and prevent poor wellbeing.

Risk assessments

Employers have a legal duty of care to protect employees from poor wellbeing at work by doing a risk assessment and acting on it. Risk assessments for the business, team or an individual help consider work factors that could cause psychological harm and develop a plan to safely control the risks.

How We Work

Risk Assessments and Return to Work Support

It can be a challenging problem for an employer or education provider to know how to respond reasonably when someone takes time off work with stress or other mental health problems. Supporting a person’s return to work/education and addressing any health needs can be tricky but with our support we can help you know how to appropriately handle any mental health needs with a risk assessment and return to work support. We are also able to help answer any questions on performance management, disciplinary issues or mental health legislation.

Policy development

All employers and education providers have a ‘duty of care’ to do all they reasonably can to support their employees’ health, safety and wellbeing. It is strongly recommended to put in place a mental health policy so that all management know what they are expected to do should they have any concerns about an employee or student. Get in touch if you’d like some support writing this so we can make sure all employers are ‘singing off the same hymn sheet’ when they are supporting the wellbeing needs of others.

Wellbeing audits and gap-analysis

In order to truly understand and address your needs, a wellbeing audit will help benchmark the organisation’s wellbeing, identify areas where people need more support and highlight any specific factors that may be influencing people’s mental health. Key areas in need of improvement and recommendations for how to boost mental health wellbeing in a cost- effective way will be provided and any further ongoing support. What our clients say:

I’ll be honest, I was not excited about this course at all… it’s a requirement for my new job, so I kind of accepted it as something I just had to get through, but the experience has been altogether different than I expected! As a survivor of multiple suicide attempts, I was worried about the course content and the way it may be delivered. Well, I had nothing to worry about – I felt so safe and comfortable throughout. Further to this, I actually experienced some healing for myself through the non-judgemental and caring approach you took to deliver the content. It helped me to understand the stigma I had towards myself and my own experiences and to view things from a different perspective – one of kindness and acceptance, rather than shame or guilt.

As a result of the course, I have a new feeling of confidence about my work (where we deal with mental health crises very regularly) and about my own personal recovery journey.

Charity employee

What our clients say:

I was first introduced to Ellice to support me with a policy I wanted to create.

Ellice took my initial thoughts and concepts and turned them into a valuable business document, using her expertise and knowledge to include the key information needed.

Working with Ellice has been a pleasure and from that first policy document, Ellice has supported me in bringing further important policies to life.

Her extensive knowledge of policy writing, mental health and suicide prevention have been invaluable, as well as her attention to detail. One of the many reasons I continue to work with Ellice is her unending passion and commitment to making a difference in society that truly resonates with my values.

A leading Authority on Vulnerable Customer Issues and Training

What our clients say:

I just joined “How to support employee mental health as we move to a ‘new normal’ – Ellice Whyte, Mindset Mental Health” and it was absolutely brilliant.  SO helpful; […] from a personal perspective it was incredibly helpful.  Ellice was an excellent speaker.

What our clients say:

Ellice is a very professional and engaging practitioner. She combines a deep knowledge of her subject with practical insights and a relaxed presentational style. She created a safe and open space in which all the course participants were able to contribute and dealt sensitively with some difficult subjects. The course was just the right mix of theory and practice. I learned a great deal and by the end of her training and felt much better equipped to provide appropriate support to people who are struggling with their mental health.

Director of Communications and Information

What our clients say:

We really enjoyed Mindset’s training! I’ve already put my listening skills to the test in a meeting this week. Instead of jumping in and expressing an “I know what you mean – this is what I did in a similar situation” type response, I let the person sit with the comment and asked if there was anything I, or the manager, could do to further support them. It felt a more productive and positive meeting… I feel it worked really well with our staff.

HR Manager

What our clients say:

Ellice was really easy to work with in setting up a series of ‘talking about mental health’ sessions, suggesting topics and listening to our needs so we could arrange them in a way that worked for the organisation. The first session ‘understanding and managing stress’ was really powerful and participants learned some simple underpinning theories and practices that are easy to remember and apply. It was run virtually and Ellice encouraged sharing in a safe and compassionate way so that we felt safe to contribute or not as worked for us. I left the session feeling better, more able to manage my own stress and better equipped to understand and respond supportively to others.

Organisational Development Manager

What our clients say:

The course was brilliant. Ellice made sure that everything was really clear and well understood before moving forward with any further information. The course was set up as a safe and open space where everybody felt confident to join in with conversations and ask questions when they needed to, which was so important with the topics that we were covering. Ellice is really knowledgable and was able to help with any questions or queries. My confidence to deal with a mental health situation has massively increased having finished the course, and I would highly recommend to anybody to book on and learn to become a Mental Health First Aider.

What our clients say

A brilliantly lead course that solidified my understanding of mental health issues with young people. The delivery was confident and compassionate. Would highly recommend for other schools.

Secondary SENCO

What our clients say

We asked Ellice to deliver a presentation on wellbeing to our large and diverse team of Franchisees & Franchisors. Our brief was a tad sketchy as we ourselves were grasping with how best to support our network in an often stressful and sometimes lonely position as a self-employed business people. Ellice put together an incredibly engaging and accessible presentation with numerous attendees commenting on how much they took from what Ellice shared with them. Furthermore, our events were multiple and held across the country with contrasting audience sizes. Ellice was able to communicate effectively with our team regardless of whether part of an audience that was 15 strong or 150. Our team took an awful lot away from Ellice and our business has gained some valuable kudos with its members as a result of having Ellice as part of our event. I can highly recommend her.
